A Memorandum of Understanding between the Hussein Cancer Center and The Nobles for Sustainable Development
On Tuesday, September 13, 2022, the Director-General of the Hussein Cancer Center, Dr. Assem Mansour, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the President of Noble for Sustainable Development, Dr. Lara Nabil Burqan, in the field of training, providing pharmaceutical support and advice to the local community and the pharmaceutical sector, and raising awareness of the health risks of smoking as a major cause of cancer.
During the signing of the memorandum at the center’s headquarters, Dr. Nour Obeidat, Director of the Cancer Control Office at the Hussein Cancer Center, signed the memorandum on behalf of Dr. Assem Mansour as a representative of the Hussein Cancer Center
Dr.Obeidat emphasized that the agreement focuses on partnership in the training of pharmacists, supporting continuous higher education in the sector, facilitating pharmacists’ access to the job market at the center and in various pharmaceutical institutions, and enhancing coordination to ensure the smoothness of joint work.
Dr.Burqan, on the other hand, confirmed that the memorandum comes within the framework of developing and enhancing areas of joint cooperation, especially in promoting the concept of training and development for employment, implementing a series of workshops and training courses in coordination with Jordanian universities, local bodies, and health associations for all segments of society using modern integrated technology that will be announced on the Nobles electronic platform.
The memorandum includes several joint work programs to provide the best for the benefit of the community, the pharmaceutical sector, and the two institutions. It also includes provisions for coordinating joint activities, programs, events, workshops, seminars, conferences, and campaigns between the two institutions, which ensure trainees apply the academic and professional knowledge they acquire in practice.
